Vrroom! This men’s pullover is speedy and fun to knit, and he’ll love to wear it. This design has enough interest to hold your attention, but not too much fancy knitting for him!
Vrroom offers two distinct fits: zero ease for slim fit and two inches of ease in the body for traditional fit. Traditional fit also allows a deeper armhole and more ease in the shoulder cap and upper sleeve.
Any wool or wool blend in bulky weight is suitable for this pattern.

PROJECT INFO:
skill level: challenging
yarn make: Tilli Tomas
type: Asteroid or Disco Lights for the edging, Simply Heaven for the rest
yarn quantity: 1/2 skein Asteroid or Disco Lights, one skein Simply Heaven. For a longer scarf, buy two skeins of the latter.
yarn color: Ruby Wine
needle size: 10
gauge: 4 stitches/inch
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
lace knitting, slip stitch edge, picking up stitches
This elegant beaded silk scarf is glossy, warm and soft, with Latin flair and a hint of evening glitz. In Spanish, Encendida means “flaming,”as the textures of this scarf appear to be!
Flame Chevron is a Mexican lace stitch which allows the colors of handpainted yarn to dance across this scarf like flames. The beaded sawtooth edging highlights the shine of this precious yarn.
The lace seems complex, but is easily learned after a few repeats and the project flies off the needles at 4 stitches to the inch. Tilli Tomas Asteroid or Disco Lights yarn has been beaded already, so you simply knit the beads right in to the edging with no sewing. Because all the beads are on the ends of the scarf, there’s no risk of catching a chill from a cold glass bead on the neck.
Buy this knitting pattern and impress a tasteful lady in your life with your loving handiwork.

This is my finest example of a sweater knitted organically from start to finish, the perfect balance of process and product knitting and a beautiful garment for evening or bridal events.
When I created the first, I was trying to bend my knitting and see just how far I could take it; how weird, how challenging? So it’s intentionally difficult and not for the faint-hearted or beginner.
I ‘unvented’ some of these knitting operations and the garment construction is extremely unusual, so I recommend this pattern for experienced knitters in search of a challenge.

Gauge

Gauge in lace patt is 24 sts and 24 rows over 4″ or 10 cm square. Alternate gauge of 28 rows is also provided in this pattern. Variations in your row gauge can have a dramatic effect on the fit of this mostly diagonally knit pattern, so do your best to match row gauge.
Suggested yarns
DK weight mercerized cotton: Classic Elite Provence (205 yards/hank) or alternately, Lana Grossa HP No. 31, Tahki Stacy Charles Cotton Classic, Scheepjeswool Isis. The band should say 5.5 sts/inch. See important notes about gauge. Plan to dry clean the finished sweater to avoid changes in gauge and shape due to shrinkage.

Valentine’s Day is a saccharine sweet holiday, isn’t it? Why not spice yours up with this sassy pillow? Send a special message to your lover with this naughty little novelty.
This project was inspired by the chalky candies we inexplicably crave come February. No they aren’t very tasty; it’s their charming messages we adore, so why not trade up your chalky candies for some mouth watering chocolates and knit up these hearts with a naughty message that suits you instead.
This knitted Valentine novelty is about 8 inches long and wide and knits up in only a couple of hours. Embroidering your naughty message is a lot of fun, but may take a bit longer. I think you’ll agree that the priceless reaction is worth every stitch.

yarn make: any worsted
type: you choose, stash buster
yarn quantity: 125-140 yds
yarn color: mustard
needle size: 8 US
gauge: 4.5 stitches/inch
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: short rows, grafting garter stitch, picking up stitches
I was floundering about, wondering what it would take to get my husband to actually wear one of my sweaters.
I was being sarcastic about it to a friend and said, Yeah, maybe if I put a skull on it, then he would wear it. Well, the next thing you know, I am asking for Ethan’s help plotting out a skull grid for the project.
So my man whipped out his PC, cranked a clip-art skull through it and this is what came out on the other side.
Just as he finished up the graph, March 2001, I got the news that my Grandma Hall had died. It was in grief that I started the knitting. I used recycled charcoal worsted weight wool I had gotten in Germany while we were living there, mixed in with some Bone colored Montera. I was finishing it up 2 months later, when my Grandma Stafford died.
Somewhere in between the funerals, I took a business trip to New Jersey and found myself knitting this sweater on the plane with a copy of Already Dead by Denis Johnson in my bag for a little light reading. This paralyzed the passenger beside me into silence for the entire flight. Aaaw, yeah … just the way I like it.
Here are some photos and links to projects others have made from my skull chart.

La Chapeau Cloche: an elegant hat which will shroud you in mystery, for that certain air of “je ne sais quoi.”
The band is knit in one with the hat, widening from only one stitch and then finished with an angular tab and turned up.
Select or craft a trimming from your stash to adorn it, or use this project as an excuse to shop for a new button or pin.
If you’re knitting chemo caps, this hat provides a little more coverage than most. Don’t forget: cancer patients deserve only the softest of yarns.

This is my first free pattern! I got this Weekend Cotton from Classic Elite on close-out. I reckon the chartreuse color was not a hot seller, but I love it! It is appealing when combined with Air Wool from Filatura di Crosa, which has a softer, springier texture, but very similar gauge.
This project flies on size 13 needles. The boxed corner makes it square, but not your ordinary pillow. And the rounded square motif on each side has a cool martini lounge feel to it. I plan to have a print-friendly version available for download shortly.
I am excited to share with you this collection of scarves, all very easy to make and each as distinctive as any domiKNITrix design. We all need a mindless pursuit from time to time, myself included!
I have created a downloadable PDF for your convenience.
